The North East region stretches from Darlington in the south to Berwick on Tweed in the north, and encompasses the tyne & Wear and the tees Valley sub-regions, and the cities of Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and stockton on Tees.
