Message from the Trustees

“The experience and ideas of your RCO is uniquely valuable. We encourage you to get involved in the work of our issue based Sub-Groups – such as Skilled, Right to Work and Youth Voice. RCOs are experts about the needs of their community, and about the best solutions. They have in depth knowledge about what’s happening on the ground, in reality. Each RCO can represent the issues and voice of its community, but as single and often maginalised units their voice is small and can go unheard. By adding our voices together through the RRF we can work collectively and strategically to present a big and strong Collective Voice.

Many policy makers and service providers have never heard the direct voice of refugees. Speaking up for ourselves can have a big impact. Our voice is the most influential tool in advocating for change. Together we can work towards promoting integation of all asylum seekers and refugees in the region.

You can also help establish new priorities for our work, and help create and lead new sub-groups. To get involved contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We know our strength relies on the strength of each of our members. And that each RCO is delivering unique support to its community. So we also provide one to one support for RCOs to develop their skills in strategic planning and action, evidence gathering, advocacy, building relations with and providing training to local services, and engaging in local policy platforms”
