ICT

We have supported 18 Refugee Community Organisations to design and develop their own self-managed websites. Our original target was 10, but in response to demand from members at our last AGM we managed to nearly double our target. 9 training sessions were held across the region, delivered by professionals from CITA (Community IT Academy), followed by surgery sessions with each RCO. Continuing support was provided by our ICT Project Officer. The project also provided volunteering opportunities for members with IT skills.

Our re-skinned RRF website went live in March 2011 and our film and photo archive is now accessible through the website. New webpages have been added to reflect our new programmes, including links to services and support. The website also carries the 30 webpages that we supported RCOs to develop in the first 2 years of the ICT Project. The project completes in March 2011, and we are working with members to evaluate continuing and further ICT support needs.
