WELCOME TO

THE REGIONAL REFUGEE FORUM NORTH EAST

Who we are

We are an independent membership organisation created in 2003 by and for community organisations led by Refugees and Asylum Seekers living in the North East of England.

We are founded on the understanding that

  • peer support plays a unique and vital role in promoting integration
  • policy and services are most effective if the voice of the refugee and asylum seeker community themselves is heard in their development

What we do

We empower refugees and asylum seekers to take action to support their communities. Find out about the support we offer at our Programmes page

And we support our members to develop their Collective Voice and use it to influence decision makers so as to promote equality and integration for all refugees and asylum seekers living in the region. Go to Our Voice page to hear how our members are using their voice to influence change

We champion peer support

We support refugees and asylum seekers who take the lead in bringing change to their communities. We support people who are mobilisers, activists and advocates for their community.
