Tyne Social Community CIC
About Us
Our Club comprises people from the black and minority ethnic community in Tyneside who experience social isolation and marginalisation. Most of our members arrived in the UK 10 to 20 years ago and as adults struggle to fit in the mainstream way of life due to many factors such as inability to adapt to different climatic, employment, social and educational conditions. These changes often result in people lacking confidence to participate in activities which eventually leads to a range of physical and mental health conditions. Our mission is to remove barriers that hinder this target group from progression and integration within their respective communities.

Who we are
TSC CIC (not-for profit Community Interest Company) exists to intervene and provide support, opportunities and enhance the mental health and wellbeing of individuals within the BME communities. We aim to improve the emotional resilience of young people and adults living in the Newcastle/Gateshead and Tyne and Wear areas. And also help the BAME community to integrate in to the local community.
What we do
The projects are aimed at improving the health and well-being of the BAME community through exercise and fitness programs. This will empower and equip the BAME community with life skills to adapt to change and be more resilient to current and future new ways of living. We aim to build better networks, support, crisis intervention, companionship and the ability for BAME society not to bottle their feelings but to learn to talk and release anxieties and stress.
